Once I join, how do I get started?

Select a participating pharmacy, and verify with the pharmacist that the pharmacy is participating with Caremark. Present your discount card to the pharmacist, and the pharmacist will tell you the preferred price of your medication. (Call us if you need to fill a prescription before you have received your identification card.) You are responsible for paying the discounted price at the time you receive your prescription.

Can I use my card to get discounts on over-the-counter products and NON-prescription medications?

With the exception of diabetic supplies (e.g., strips, lancets, meters), most over-the-counter products and non-prescription medications are not included at the pharmacy. However, over-the-counter products are available at a discounted price to our members online, through Caremark.com. And, you also have discounts of 15% for diabetic needs through Liberty Medical.

Can I use the discount prescription plan and then submit a claim to my health insurer?

If you normally pay for a prescription and then submit your prescription claim to your insurance company for reimbursement, your insurance company will probably allow you to coordinate services with this plan. (Please call your insurer, to be sure.) After visiting a participating pharmacy and paying the reduced fee, file a claim with your insurance company.

My pharmacist tells me that my discount card is not needed by the pharmacy. Why not?

Some pharmacies keep your program information on file. To ensure that you receive preferred pricing, always present your card.

What if I lose my discount card or need to order extra cards?

You can request additional cards, if necessary. Just contact us.
